From Imperial Courtesan to Empress Dowager, All Thanks to the Lord Eunuch's Favor

The Qian family was convicted of a crime. All the men were beheaded in public, and all the women were condemned to serve as official courtesans.

The women hanged themselves to preserve their chastity. Only eight-year-old Qian Lingshan survived.

She met someone: a thin, dark-skinned older boy who told her that only by staying alive would she have a chance to avenge her family.

Clinging to that belief, she eventually became Suzhou's top courtesan, moving among men.

She smiled on the outside and seethed with hatred within.

One day, she would make them all grovel at her feet.

Tao Zian held an important position and was a favorite of the Emperor. He was also her chance to escape the brothel. Her love was complicated, mixed with hatred for her enemies and a longing for wealth and prestige.

But Tao Zian didn't mind. He was willing to become her devoted servant, kill her enemies for her, and help her become the Empress Dowager.

“Shanshan, whatever you want to do, I'll see it through for you, even if it costs me my life.”

The heroine isn't naive. She's beautiful and ruthless. The male lead is completely wrapped around her little finger: if she says her foot hurts, he'll stay up all night massaging it. He fell in love with her at first sight. At first, he put on airs and refused to admit it, but eventually he gave up all his pride and wished he could stay by her side every night.

Important: the male lead is a fake eunuch!
