A Toast to This Fleeting Life, a Toast to Qin Zheng

Everyone in the Underworld knows that Qin Zheng may have “Zheng,” meaning “strive,” in her name, but she's actually lazy to the core, a true master of slacking off, and the Underworld's most famous homebody ghost queen.

Lately, she's facing a major crisis in her ghostly life: the King of Hell wants her to go on a business trip to the mortal realm...

She still remembers the day the King of Hell grabbed her to fill a vacancy. Qin Zheng had been crouched in a hell, munching on a carrot and listening to Old Yan boast for the 3,687th time about how he'd dodged around the bandits' blades back in the day and lived to tell the tale...

She was listening intently when a gust of wind whipped past her ear. Everything went black. Qin Zheng felt herself being dragged along amid howling wind, shadowy shapes, ghostly wails, and shrieks of the dead, carving a coastline through the Blood Sea Hell beneath Beicha Mountain, which was such a chaotic mess it looked like a pigsty after a kid had set off firecrackers in it!

Before the road to reincarnation, Mingtu waved the Soul-Splitting Blade in her hand. “A Zheng, trust me. The mortal realm is fascinating. You'll love it.”

Qin Zheng nodded like a pecking chicken. “I love the mortal realm! I love work! I'll devote myself to the Underworld until my dying breath!”

Mingtu sheathed the blade with satisfaction. “I knew A Zheng was a good employee. Don't worry, I'll arrange an experienced partner to help you get up to speed with everything, from daily life to work.”

Qin Zheng: (๑ ˭̴̵̶᷄൧̑ ˭̴̵̶᷅๑)

Mingtu: “Hmm?!”

Qin Zheng: “Long live the King of Hell!”~\(≧▽≦)/~

Mingtu: “Hmm~~~”

Qin Zheng (under her breath): _(´□`" ∠)_
