Everyone Has a Devil Inside

Chen Chu is a live-in son-in-law. His wife, Zeng Rou, was always considerate of him, and they had a daughter named Annie. The couple got along very well. Then one day, his brother-in-law drove drunk and killed someone. His parents-in-law and wife urged Chen Chu to take the blame, so he went to prison and served five years. He kept his head down inside, and the warden even had him deliver meals to the other inmates. But when Chen Chu got out, everything had changed. His wife had been unfaithful, and their daughter had died after accidentally ingesting paraquat because his wife had refused to cook for her. Chen Chu was also kicked out of the house. Later, he found work as a chef at a restaurant. A series of murders shook the usually peaceful town, with many sex workers among the victims. Lately, Chen Chu had been sleeping poorly and often woke up feeling listless. He went to see a doctor, who referred him to a neurologist. Unable to give him any answers, the neurologist suggested setting the clock at home to go off at one in the morning, so he could see what he did during the night. One day, the alarm woke him, and he finally discovered that he had a split personality. So he returned to prison. Perhaps that was where he belonged.
