The Great Gatsby
I think this book is very in-depth and the author Fitzgerald is amazing! He vividly describes the luxury and hypocrisy of that era. I love and pity Gatsby as a character. He sacrificed everything to pursue his dreams, but in the end he suffered tragedy. I particularly hate Daisy, she is a selfish, materialistic girl. However, this book also made me understand that reality is often cruel and dreams may not come true. Overall, "The Great Gatsby" is a great book worth reading!
We push forward, swimming against the current, only to be pushed back into the past by the waves. I hope that the beauty of the past will last forever, and the failures of the past will be gone. But no matter what, we still move forward to enter the unknown tomorrows. Even if we continue to go backwards, we still guard the inner truth in the ups and downs of the sea of fantasy. So we beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past.
