The Heroine of Jiangbei

This is a novel about young people growing up. In the mid-Ming dynasty, a squad of soldiers from the Shanhu Battalion escorts General Ma Yuanxiang's wife and daughter from Jiangnan to Guanlin Beiling in the north. On the way, they are attacked by bandits. The soldiers are no match for them, and just as their lives hang by a thread, Hong Hu, a renowned wandering hero, appears and saves Ma Yanmei, the general's daughter. Ma Yanmei then becomes Hong Hu's disciple and joins him and his companions from the Shanhu Battalion in fighting the remaining enemy forces...
