A Kingdom Bestowed by Heaven: The Astonishing Tale of Sanxingdui and the Jinsha Ruins

The large number of jade objects unearthed there lifted one corner of the mysterious veil surrounding Sanxingdui. Large-scale excavations at the Sanxingdui Ruins did not truly begin until after the 1980s. The richly varied burial pits drew the world’s attention, revealing the remains of the ancient Shu kingdom’s culture. The discovery of the Jinsha Site in 2001 gave us a way to further interpret Sanxingdui culture. This book recounts the discovery and excavation of Sanxingdui culture in Guanghan, Sichuan, as well as the discovery and excavation of the Jinsha Site in recent years, which is closely connected to Sanxingdui culture.
