From the Start, I Rebuked the Demon Emperor and Begged for Death!

In the Tianwu Sacred Dynasty, the lowly seventh-rank civil official Su Qian turns out to be the reincarnation of an Immortal Emperor from the Upper Realm. Eager to die as soon as possible, he immediately regains his Immortal Emperor form and sets about courting death: berating the Demon Emperor in court, executing treacherous ministers before the sovereign, challenging famous marquises and generals in the army, and charging alone into the Demon Sect. Before long, Su Qian realizes something is wrong. The Tianwu Empress: “Su Qing is the soul of Tianwu, the torch of the Sacred Dynasty! As long as its mountains and rivers endure, I will never let Su Qing down!” The King of Hantian: “The Sacred Dynasty is rotten, and its officials are disloyal. Only Lord Su is devoted to the dynasty and cares about the people. I will protect Lord Su at all costs!” The people of the realm: “The Demon Sect has laid waste to the land, and only Saint Su dared to face a million demon troops alone. We would gladly die in his place, if only Saint Su remains safe!” … Su Qian: “Please, I really do want to die!”
