The Three Kingdoms: Not a Romance, Part 3

This is the last book in the "Romance of the Three Kingdoms" series. This series tells the story of the Three Kingdoms period from a more objective perspective. In particular, this third book mainly talks about the history from Zhuge Liang's death to the return of the Three Kingdoms to Jin, which makes up for the lack of this period very well. It is understood that the history described by the author comes from official histories such as "Zi Zhi Tong Jian", "Three Kingdoms" and "Book of Jin", which basically restores the true appearance of history. The wonderful romance era of the Three Kingdoms is an era where passionate heroes emerge in large numbers. After reading this book, I felt an unspeakable resentment in my heart. The greed of human nature is doomed to make people suffer in misery. Peace is short-lived, and war is the norm. After reading this book, I feel even more grateful that I was born in such a good era.

2025·05·02: Throwing flowers 🌸The rolling water of the Yangtze River passes eastward, and the waves wash away the heroes. Right and wrong, success or failure turn around in vain. The green mountains are still there, and the sunsets are red several times... There are many romantic figures and exciting scenes. Jiang Wei failed to protect the Shu Han forever, Lu Kang was unable to save Sun Wu, Sima Yan unified the Three Kingdoms, and there was also the "Eight Kings Rebellion" in the Western Jin Dynasty... Everything will pass away, and everything will eventually come back...

This book is very interesting! It allowed me to understand a lot of historical truths about the Three Kingdoms. For example, "Zhuge died and Zhongda came back to life" turned out to be fictional, and Wei Yan did not commit rebellion and die. Thinking of my friend who likes the Three Kingdoms, if he reads this book, he will definitely have many new insights. Moreover, the book also tells the story of Sun Quan when he became emperor, and the scene where Zhang Zhao was humiliated in public, which reminded me that sometimes in life we are ignored or misunderstood for some reasons. However, history is like this, and a lot of truth is hidden under the surface. This book is like a key that opens another side of the history of the Three Kingdoms.

There is no shortage of people's activities in the long river of history. History is always surprisingly similar, and the characters in history are generally the same as today's people. The reason why we sometimes think that historical figures are pedantic, stupid, and wanton is actually a sign of standing up and talking without back pain. After all, before the wave of history, there are a few people who can make the right choice. Observing history can lead to correct behavior, and historical figures can always give us a lot of education. For example: Cao Cao is decisive, calm in battle, and dares to fight; Yuan Shao is flashy, seeking fame, indecisive, and arrogant; Liu Bei is indomitable, tenacious, and kind... Human characteristics will eventually be repeated in future history. We appreciate everyone's characteristics, but we must also change our own shortcomings. History will eventually pass away, but humanity will last forever!

In the Romance of the Three Kingdoms, Sima Yi pacified Liaodong, and Sima Yi and his sons quelled the three rebellions in Huainan. Zhuge Liang's last northern expedition to Wei was an agreement with Wu to jointly attack Wei. However, the war between Wei and Wu was only briefly mentioned, and only the result was that Wu withdrew his troops. This book gives a detailed description of the contents of the Romance of the Three Kingdoms. Of course, The Romance of the Three Kingdoms is a novel, not a history book.

Only a book like this can be regarded as a correct book of the Eight Classics.

An interesting reading of the history of the Three Kingdoms, using the simplest language to describe the most complex historical events. The history of this period of the Three Kingdoms has been obscured by various romances. What we know about the Three Kingdoms is more in movies and TV dramas, but that is not the real history. This book quotes classics and expresses ancient literature in vernacular, making it easier for readers to understand. It is also easier to figure out the relationships and processes between characters and events. Zhuge Liang has a lot of controversies in history. This book tries to objectively restore Zhuge Liang's actions during the Three Kingdoms period. Readers can make their own judgments about the right and wrong.

Wealth and power are sought after by the world. Those who are virtuous and capable can achieve great things if they get them; those who are virtuous and incompetent can still save themselves; those who are virtuous and incompetent can get them. They will be burned. In life, you should be alert to both honor and disgrace, so that you can last long.

Very good, very good What I regret most in the whole book is Sun Liang, the young leader of the Wu Kingdom. If Quan Ji's father, Quan Shang, had not told his wife the news that the emperor wanted to kill Sun Lin, then history might have been rewritten. So hateful
