The Murder at the Orchid Pavilion Series (Complete in Three Volumes)

Overall, it's pretty good. However, the protagonist's aura is too strong, and the plot doesn't feel logical. For example, the one who recognizes his mother because of her similar facial features. Also (personal opinion below) I don't really like emotional dramas, and I feel that too many emotional dramas in suspense novels take the spotlight. In the end, I felt sorry for a wave of hidden people who lived and played until they were old. In order to protect the prince and not forget his original intention, he kept a low profile and ended up being separated by a young man in his twenties. His wife and family were separated and his family was destroyed.

Calling this book a Chinese version of "The Da Vinci Code" is indeed a fair assessment. The history books are vast, and many of them are unclear, which is undoubtedly the perfect material for suspense novels. But fabricating stories based on historical background is also a double-edged sword. If the details are distorted and contrary to historical facts, it will inevitably become empty and laughable. Fortunately, the author has a profound knowledge, and the descriptions of clothing, folk customs, officialdom, etc. Are all well-founded. The dialogues between the characters are also handled relatively naturally, and are rarely too difficult or "modern". What's interesting is that we already know the ending of history, but the twists and turns of the plot and the secrets behind the secrets in the book continue to attract readers to find out. "Why" and "how" are hidden behind the Spring and Autumn style of writing, allowing future generations to discover them. Perhaps, this is the "truth" of history.

The world often says that "the stinky Han people stole the Tang Dynasty", but they don't know that the Han Dynasty and the Tang Dynasty were the most glorious historical periods, just like the history we mention now refers to the Han people and the prosperous age to the Tang Dynasty! The author uses an embedded historical figure to combine historical events with his own novel. It is really a perfect fit, precise and unconventional, which makes people want to read it. The plot is also very interesting, and the reasoning and logic are very good. It is a novel worth appreciating!

We weave a wonderful killing scene from the gaps in real history. I am impressed by the author's profound historical knowledge, writing skills of plot layout, and the protagonist's feelings about home and country. When I read it carefully, I often feel that it is true, just like the author himself felt during the writing process. It is really a good book! It can satisfy readers' exploration of history, solving suspense and identifying with characters.

It took me three days to read it all in one sitting. The plot is full of twists and turns, which attracted me and couldn't stop. The writing is smooth, as if the author wrote the book in one go. After reading it, I felt that this person really existed in history and was successfully "fooled" by the author. The postscript written by the author also made me read it again and again, and I deeply admire it!

A historical article without time travel and no system is very rare. No matter how ugly it is, you have to read it. The main problem is that the patriotism of aristocratic families is overstated. All the aristocratic families in history only considered family interests and ignored the interests of the country. Besides, in the early Tang Dynasty, the Wang and Xie families were in decline and had no economic foundation. How could they maintain a huge underground power? Still, this is a good book worth reading. Recommend!

If made into a TV series, it would be quite exciting. The plots are connected one after another, and the characters are very distinct and distinctive. I hope the author will write more books about this kind of palace investigation.

I highly recommend "Lanting Prelude to Killing Game". This is the best book I have seen among tomato novels so far! The author Wang Jueren is a special writer for well-known magazines and TV columns such as Southern Metropolis Daily and Baijia Forum. The gentleman is talented and reads a lot of poetry! In particular, he has considerable attainments in the in-depth study of the history of the Tang Dynasty! Although the plot of the novel is fictional, the larger historical context is real and clear! The storyline is exciting, complete in structure and rigorous in logic! Beautifully written, a classic! If it can be made into a TV series, and if there are excellent producers and directors and sufficient funds, it will be a breathtaking masterpiece! The author uses the classic calligraphy classic "Lanting Preface" written by Wang Xizhi of the Eastern Jin Dynasty as the creative blueprint, and takes the struggle for the heir in the prosperous Tang Dynasty as the main line, which is interlocking, full of suspense, and shocking at every step! This kind of ingenuity and layout is surprising and admirable! In addition, the author's portrayal of characters, rendering of scenes, and introduction to the humanities and history of the Tang Dynasty all reflect his profound literary literacy and aristocratic and upright spiritual core! Faced with all kinds of bizarre novels, movies and TV series, and all kinds of public accounts that have no nutrition but only attract attention, I once felt lost and lamented that the Chinese people's customs are not there and their taste is mediocre! And Mr. Wang's works are like clear mountain springs and whirling moon shadows! It's both heartwarming and touching while enjoying the story! What's even more gratifying is that you will be deeply relieved to finally discover that there are still outstanding writers with such literary and military skills! Such writers are not only writing, they have real cultural heritage and responsible creation. They do not please or flatter pure entertainment consumers, but write books and stories that can integrate culture and history!

I am serious about writing book reviews. This book is more of a biography than a novel. Zhenguan in the prosperous Tang Dynasty has been much discussed in history. The author's writing method is influenced by long-term research on Tang history. It is different from ordinary chapter novels and tends to reflect the sense of historical sedimentation and The sense of vicissitudes of culture, although it does not have the ups and downs of the plot and the brilliance of the writing of ordinary novels, is like a carving knife using words to carve a long scroll of history in the readers' minds, allowing readers to have a sense of immersion and feel the incomparable charm of "Lanting Preface". The author's portrayal of the characters is quite good, and the language, expressions, and dialogues are all just right to foreshadow and set off the characters, making the characters' personalities distinct and three-dimensional. A lot of poems are used in the middle, as well as an analysis of the handling methods of high-ranking people in feudal society in the past dynasties, which can't help but make readers feel deeply. Although it is not as exciting as the new suspense novels, it is like a glass of mellow wine, the more you drink, the more fragrant it is, and the lingering residue is still lingering. It is a dual combination of history and realism. Although there are few strokes, it is full of charm.

Since coming to Tomato, I have listened to and read a lot of books. Only this one made me sigh. It feels like I met you too late. I also watched "The Da Vinci Code" more than 10 years ago and have almost forgotten it now. But in my memory, your cultural heritage is far better than the other person. Whether it is narrative or logic, or description of the scenery and surrounding environment... There is a kind of easy-to-hand ease and ultimate sophistication. It is really incomparable to the current time travel or entertainment articles... Once I looked at it and laughed and cursed. It's just nonsense. Look at who the author is and his signature is fair and square. It's nonsense. Hahahahahahahaha I'm laughing so hard. Just laugh at my own inappropriateness. In short, this novel can be said to be a breath of fresh air in today's fast food era. 100 Likes. If it were a perfect review, it would be 5 points now. I look forward to having the pleasure of reading your next work!
