The frontier region of Xiliang lies near the Mongol grasslands. Its people are hardy, and cavalry is plentiful. Tens of thousands of warhorses routinely thunder across the land. The Kingdom of Liang has a giant of a man, nine feet tall and possessing the strength of a thousand catties. His name is Liu Zhao, courtesy name Mianzhi. Beneath his command are tens of thousands of elite cavalrymen mounted on tall steeds. Some are clad in armor from head to hoof, riding down all before them; others wear light armor and gallop like the wind as they shoot from horseback. The nations of the Central Plains call them the Xiliang Demon Cavalry. Liu Zhao, a newly graduated veterinary student in the interstellar age, accidentally crashes his spaceship and lands in a feudal society. Relying on physical abilities far beyond those of the natives and a medicine marketplace, he builds a cavalry force that roams thousands of miles and remains undefeated.
