Looking at the person before him, Natsume feels they seem familiar, but he can’t remember when they might have met. “Hello, Hisakawa. Nice to meet you. I’m Natsume Takashi, the person sitting behind you.” Hisakawa Jinglin looks at Natsume, his ink-black eyes narrowing slightly. “Hello. I look forward to getting along with you.” Natsume looks at Hisakawa Jinglin. “Did you do that on purpose?” “No.” I started writing this book, Natsume’s Book of Friends: Misty Spirit of Fate, at 6:45 p.m. on February 15, 2022. It was originally called Natsume’s Book of Friends: Spirit of the Mist. I’ll put that here in the synopsis as a little “commemoration.”
