Natsume's Book of Friends: Those Destined to Meet Will See Each Other Again

Hoshino Rina was born into a mysterious family of yokai hunters. Following her grandfather’s instructions, she came to Hachihara in search of Natsume Reiko. Reiko was long gone, but there she met Natsume Takashi, Reiko’s descendant. Rina settled in Hachihara and, as her grandfather had instructed, protected Takashi. This is a friendship-focused story with no romantic pairings. The female lead isn’t based on any existing character. The story has a large ensemble cast, so there will be some original bonus chapters, intended to flesh out the characters. Unless a character has a romance in the original work, none of them will have feelings for one another beyond friendship.
