The Half-Ghost Immortal

A so-called “ghost half-immortal” is someone in the northern spirit-medium tradition who specializes in taking charge of sinister spirit halls on behalf of others. A sinister spirit hall is one where the spirits being worshiped refuse to obey their master and may even try to devour them. Ghost half-immortals are usually reincarnated celestial beings, and when they descend to the mortal world, they are accompanied by celestial guardians. Their guardians secretly teach them the skills to subdue demons and bring spirit halls to heel. But anyone born a ghost half-immortal is doomed to an unhappy marriage and a solitary life. This story follows Jiang Xiaodao, a ghost half-immortal and the true heir of the Gua'erqin family. After an unexpected accident, he transmigrates to the Qing Dynasty and begins a comical journey of ghost hunting!
