The Last Black Impermanence

The underworld has a couplet. The first line reads: In the mortal world, through three lifetimes, you committed every crime against Heaven. The second reads: In the courts of the underworld, who has ever escaped judgment, past or present? The horizontal inscription reads: So, you’ve finally come. The underworld’s retribution treats everyone equally. Good is rewarded, and evil punished: that is the truth. As the saying goes, the gods are watching from three feet above your head. In this life, you should do good deeds and build up your store of virtue!
