Online Games Become Reality: I Have a Ton of Abilities

In 2050, the hyper-realistic game Taixu goes live, breaking through all the usual limits of gaming.

Top players can even bring their abilities into the real world.

On launch day, the servers are packed. Mo Zhu frantically tries to get in, triggering a game bug that traps his consciousness inside the server and turns him into an NPC in the newbie village.

"I, Mo Zhu, swear on the server that I didn't cheat!"

"Can you call what an NPC does cheating? That's just a game mechanic!"

"I'm just an NPC with a few extra features, that's all!"

"Players have it, so I should have it too. What's wrong with that?"

"If players don't have it, it's perfectly reasonable for me, the NPC village chief, to have it!"

"You ask what an NPC even is? I'll tell you. I kill the monsters players are afraid to fight, and I use the cheats players are afraid to use. In short, if players don't dare do it, I'll do it. And if they can do it, I'll do it even more..."
