A Ridiculous Game: Every Player Is a Cheater

In 2050, the hyperrealistic game Taixu launched, breaking through all the limits of conventional games.

It introduced features such as "free professions," "free martial arts," "unrestricted exploration," and "custom creation."

Players could explore the game just as they would the real world.

On launch day, the servers were packed. Mo Zhu frantically tried to get in, triggering a bug that trapped his consciousness inside the server and turned him into an NPC in the novice village.

Seeing so many players cheat to complete quests, Mo Zhu was furious. The System not only refused to punish them, but punished him, the novice village chief, instead.

"I, Mo Zhu, swear to the server that I didn't cheat!"

"Can an NPC's actions even count as cheating? That's just a game mechanic!"

"I'm an NPC. I just happen to have, like, a tiny bit more functionality!"
