Great Tang: I Mistakenly Captured Changle as My Bride from the Start

Gu Ming transmigrates to the Tang Dynasty and becomes the chief of a mountain stronghold outside Youzhou City. After awakening a System, he leads the people of the stronghold in building a peaceful, prosperous paradise far from the world.

In the sixth year of the Zhenguan era, a great drought ravages the land, leaving corpses everywhere.

Two little girls disguised as boys collapse from hunger outside the stronghold. After the guards find them, they bring them before Gu Ming.

Neither girl is the least bit alarmed by her circumstances. Instead, they are intensely curious about everything in the stronghold.

"The land is full of starving people and refugees. Why is your home so prosperous?"

"Brother Gu, your tenants get to eat meat every day?"

"My parents are forcing me to marry, but I don't like him."

Gu Ming is so exasperated that he considers paying to send the two girls back home. But unexpectedly, they reveal their true identities to him.

"Brother Gu, I'm Princess Changle, the one the authorities have been searching for. But your home is even more prosperous than the imperial palace. Why don't I stay and become your stronghold's lady?"
