This story is adapted from real events. In 2000, nine-year-old Xiang Mingqian from Yunnan Province got into a fight with a neighbor's child, Zhang Jun (a pseudonym). Their parents then got involved. During the argument, Xiang Mingqian's father was hacked and stabbed 18 times by Zhang Jun's father and died.
After losing his father, Xiang Mingqian set out alone to track down the killer, never giving up for 17 years. At last, in 2017, he caught the man who had killed his father, Zhang Mouqi, in Shengxin Town, Nan'an City.
