Reborn: The Tree Realm Descends

In the vast darkness of night.

When everything had fallen silent, the depths of a mountain were anything but peaceful. A pine tree was trembling nonstop. Anyone passing by at that moment would have been scared out of their wits.

“W-what... what is going on?”

Pine needles fell as the tree shook. “Didn't I hit my head when I fell? I should be at home. Why am I in the mountains now, and why am I a tree?”

Chen Sen had been named Sen because a fortune teller said his Five Elements lacked wood. Today, as usual, he finished work and came home, only to trip over the toy scooter belonging to the neighbor's brat and hit his head on the doorframe. He passed out, and when he woke up again, he had become a pine tree.

That's right, he'd become a pine tree, the kind with a shockingly green canopy. “Have I been reborn? This isn't scientific!” Chen Sen found the whole thing bizarre. It was hard to accept when something that only happened in novels happened to him...
