Food for the Soul: This Chef Is a Little Demonic

In an unremarkable restaurant tucked away in a small alley in the capital, known as “The Old Place,” there’s an owner with an extremely odd personality and a vicious temper.

Yet this shabby boss in a shabby little place has somehow won over the aloof, glamorous career woman of Red Capital. She becomes a full-fledged foodie, dashing over every day in her high heels.

The financial elite from Sky Street, usually brilliant at brainstorming, turn into fools here as they feast to their hearts’ content. Business tycoons, rising political stars, even members of the royal family all lower themselves and smile cautiously when they come here: “Boss Li, could you make me a bowl of hot noodle soup today...?”
