My Style of Summoning

You are walking home.

Black fog surrounds you. There isn't a glimmer of light, and you are lost. You grip the sword in your hand. Suddenly, his voice comes from behind you:

“If you take this path, you’ll be covered in thorns, with no friends. You’ll turn your back on light and beauty, and leave vows and love behind. Even so, have you decided to take this road?”

You fall silent for a moment. “Do I have a choice? I can’t see the friends, light and beauty, vows, or love you speak of. All I see before me is endless darkness. There’s nothing red here but blood.”
