Who Can Stand Against Me?

On the evening of the seventh day of the Rain Month in the year 4067, in a small hut in Hunters' Village, Green Town, Kaiao City, a little boy of about seven sat beside a beautiful young woman in her late twenties, listening to a legendary tale that had been passed down for thousands of years across the Demon Dragon Continent.

"In the year 1023 of the Demon Era, the strongest man of the time, the arrogant Demon Lord Aoshitian, challenged the ten greatest experts of the Demon Dragon Continent at Dragon Slayer Peak on Fallen Heaven Cliff. They fought for seven days. Seven of the ten experts died, and three were gravely wounded. After that battle, the three survivors withdrew from the world, and no one else could match them." At this point, the beautiful woman let out a soft sigh, turned her lovely face toward the boy, and said, "Ming'er, Mommy's finished the story. You promised you'd go to sleep once I was done telling it. Now that I've finished, it's time for bed."

The little boy, whom the beautiful woman called Ming'er, cheekily blinked. "But, Mom, I'm not tired yet. And you haven't told me what happened next. What happened to the Demon Lord..."
