Amber Twilight and a Confession

At six thirty in the evening, a light that should not have been lit shone from the top of Xinglan Tower.

Legend has it that anyone who sees that light will meet someone who changes their life.

Lin Che did not believe it. He picked up a coin engraved with a tower, its reverse side blank. The silver-haired girl beside him said, "I was kidding. It's all a lie." Then she walked into the dusk.

The coin was cold as ice. As it stayed cold, it suddenly warmed.

Only later did he learn that there was more than one coin. Six coins, six people, six debts that had yet to be repaid.

Someone had walked around the tower for three years, willing to take a thirteen-minute detour.

Someone watched over a row of old books, waiting for a borrower to return.

Someone had his name saved in their phone six months before they met.

The legend had not lied to him.

It just hadn't said that there would be more than one person who changed his life.

Nor had it said that the tower was not waiting for a person.

It was waiting for that coin, and for someone willing to return it to the foot of the tower.

The person the tower is waiting for is you.
