Every Car Dealer on the Street Fears Me

Bing Ye, a car-wash apprentice at Hongfa Motors, has worked there for three years without a commission or credit, yet somehow always ends up taking the blame. Everyone thinks he's a soft touch they can push around, until the day he lays his palm on a car's paint for three seconds. In a flash, he sees the entire history of the car: flood damage, odometer tampering, and a major frame collision. A vehicle-condition panel invisible to everyone else appears only to him. Selling a wreck as a pristine car? Passing off a flood-damaged vehicle as a one-owner car? Turning back the odometer by eighty thousand kilometers? One touch, and he'll strip away every last lie. The crooked dealer Chu Wanjin meant to crush the kid in the car wash bay, never imagining his apprentice had a pair of supernatural eyes. Today, he exposes a flood-damaged car; tomorrow, he blows up a whole banquet; the day after, he starts Ye Ge Vehicle Inspections and tears the cover-up off the entire auto-trading strip. His father bought a refurbished flood-damaged heavy truck years ago, leaving him half-paralyzed, their family ruined, and their debts unpaid. This time, Bing Ye is back not only to turn the tables on the people preying on the vulnerable, but also to find out who sold that truck to an honest man six years ago. A car can fool your eyes, but it can't fool your hands.
