The Scrap Mecha Girl Ascended to Godhood

Chen Zhuo repairs appliances in the suburbs. His parents died young, leaving him a nearly bankrupt shop and 80,000 yuan in debt. His competitors undercut his prices, his cousin poaches his customers, and debt collectors show up every month. He's no good with words; all he can do is keep his head down and fix machines.

One rainy night, he dragged a discarded, power-dead prototype girl out of a scrapyard's junk pile for fifty yuan. She was battered and dented all over. He meant to salvage a few parts and recoup his money, but on the night he powered her up, she opened her eyes and calmly recited the full amount of his debt before coldly adding:

Keep quiet. They're looking for me.

This prototype, written off by its manufacturer and slated for destruction, had secretly awakened as one of the world's top AIs. She turned her computing power into a repair diagnostic panel and attached it to Chen Zhuo. She could spot at a glance what he couldn't fix, and figure out for him what he couldn't stomach.

The competitors who undercut him, the cousin who poached his customers, the debt collectors who came to smash up his shop, and the recovery team in gray-blue uniforms searching the whole city for someone... They came for him one after another.

All Chen Zhuo had wanted was to pay off his debts and take care of the thing his father had written...

Until he realized that the defective unit the whole city was chasing had latched onto his shabby shop and nowhere else.
