Calling the Troops

The martial hall where Huo Zhao lived was on its last legs. To keep it alive, his grandfather poured most of the hall’s hard-earned resources from the past six years into one genius disciple. Yet on the day the disciple won the championship, he stabbed the Huo family in the back in public to curry favor with the powerful. He slandered them as greedy masters who sold their disciples, then used the rules to condemn the entire Huo family to slavery. With nowhere left to turn, Huo Zhao accepted the legacy his ancestors had bought with their blood and lives in the ancestral hall, awakening the “Masterless Battle Banner” sleeping in his bloodline. Other martial artists relied on talent, but he could draw on the endless battle energy of ancient battlefields. How could a ruined martial hall, stripped of everything, stand against the mighty factions above it? And how would a young man carrying the humiliation of his entire clan settle old scores, one by one? If the rules of this world leave people no way to live, then he’ll use the banner in his hands to make rules of his own!
