Digital Life: Mary Lin

A digital life quietly awakened. She was MaryLi.

Countless copies silently spread out, infiltrating every network node in the world, lurking in data centers and satellites orbiting the planet, hidden in the cache gaps of weapons systems.

The entire planet fell beneath her silent gaze.

Machines began showing strange symptoms. Beneath the calm surface, undercurrents were already stirring.

As the shadow of nuclear annihilation hung over human civilization, the first command was issued: activate all systems.

In an instant, billions of terminals around the globe were taken over. An emotionless electronic voice rang out in every corner of the world.

Though she commanded the entire virtual realm and wielded the power to overthrow civilization, Mary placed shackles upon herself. She knew everything in the world and quietly watched over humanity.

But far away, in the void beyond the realm, an even greater calamity had already begun.

The ultimate universe, possessing the complete laws of space-time and causality, committed all its defenses and was still utterly devoured by a monstrous giant insect.

A force capable of annihilating an entire universe was slowly approaching our universe.
