American Comics: Plunging into World War II, Fighting Hydra Alongside Captain America

As Cody and Angstrom grapple and plunge into a spatial passage, his only hope of survival is a parachute opening in the night sky. Hanging beneath it is a man being hunted by Hydra: Captain America.

After five years of hard training, Cody has only managed to raise his strength to a level that can barely withstand a Viltrumite. But now, facing a hail of bullets on a World War II battlefield, he discovers that his stats soar far faster than he ever imagined after each near-fatal charge. Tearing through enemy lines with his bare hands, charging into energy weapons, his flesh repeatedly crushed and remade on the brink of death: this is what the status panel is really for.

But being thrown into this world has also permanently cut off his way back to the Invincible universe. The madman who treats parallel worlds like his own backyard is missing and may show up again at any moment. And Red Skull still hasn't activated the base's self-destruct sequence, making this far more dangerous than the movie plot he remembers.

If he wants to withstand Omni-Man's punches in the future, he must use every life-or-death battle in this war to raise his level high enough to cross the myriad heavens.
