Demon Slayer: Become a Demon from the Start, Steal Kanao Away!

He transmigrates as Kanao's fiancé and runs into a demon. On the verge of death, the Sword Demon System awakens, allowing him to strike back and seize its abilities.

He rescues Kanao, curled up in a corner. Sold to human traffickers by her parents, the girl has long since lost the ability to feel and does nothing but obey blankly. Su Mu takes her away from the slums, cleans the wounds covering her body, and teaches her to eat again and to rely on someone again. Each time Kanao clutches his sleeve, the small gesture feels like a chisel breaking through her long-frozen heart.

The Kocho Sisters track them down, and the two sides clash in an alley. Su Mu withstands Shinobu Kocho's Insect Breathing and forces her back with the Demon King's claws, but chooses to sheath his weapon. He makes Kanae Kocho an offer: he can restrain his hunger for human flesh and provide information about Muzan Kibutsuji. In return, Kanao must stay at the Butterfly Mansion and receive proper care.

The balance between the Demon Slayer Corps and the demons is about to shatter. Su Mu plans to find his own path between hunting demons and protecting others, while waiting for the chance to truly end it all. But before then, he has to teach Kanao how to smile.
