Detective Conan: The Medium's Case, Kato Megumi Uses Spirit Vision to Solve the Mystery

A paranormal novelist invites a police detective to spend the night in a haunted villa to prove his innocence.

Bai Quanyi thinks it will be easy enough to do him this favor, so he sets off with Kato Megumi, who has just awakened her medium abilities. But the moment they step into Shuijing Manor, Kato Megumi senses something wrong. She realizes that an entity invisible to ordinary people is lurking in the shadows of the building.

Meanwhile, Bai Quanyi learns from Hei Yue that Shuijing Manor was first built during the Meiji era. Its original owner was a British magician said to be able to summon spirits. After building the Black Book Library, the man mysteriously vanished, leaving behind only a large amount of blood. The current owner makes a living from ghost stories, yet has always considered them nonsense.

At a barbecue gathering, everyone passionately discusses a series of murders that has shocked the nation. Like a ghost, the killer has already taken the lives of six young women, while the police have no leads. Just as everyone believes this is merely an ordinary literary gathering, a figure that should not exist appears in the villa's ancient mirror.
