Hong Kong Entertainment: From Secretly Photographing Zhao Yazhi to Ruling the Screen

The All-Star Daily is brought back from the brink by exclusive scandals and blockbuster serials, but Ye Huainan's ambitions go far beyond becoming a newspaper tycoon. When the System activates and memories of his past life turn into real skills and a library of scripts, he sets his sights on a much broader battlefield: Hong Kong's film industry, then being consumed by old-fashioned wuxia movies.

Armed with the bizarre concept behind Happy Ghost and the epic script of Shanghai Bund, he recruits Huang Baiming, snubbed by Shaw Brothers, signs up a still-green Guan Zhilin, and even lures a future master of cinematography and Golden Horse Award winner into the not-yet-launched All-Star Company. But his real trump card lies deep in his mind: entertainment assets forty years ahead of their time are about to rewrite the landscape of Hong Kong cinema in an unimaginable way.

Before his first movie has even wrapped, he runs into a down-and-out rich kid at a casino, who turns out to be the future film distribution mogul who will shake Asia. Ye Huainan knows that making a good movie is only the first step. Getting it in front of audiences is the real key to ruling the film industry. All he needs now is a debut that can smash through the box-office ceiling.
