Tomb Raiding: Equivalent Exchange, Building the Jiang Family's Tomb-Raiding Clan

Jiang Yaodong transmigrated into a world where tomb-raiding settings had merged, becoming the village chief of Jiang Village, a poor mountain hamlet. His people were seriously ill and had no money for treatment, while the children were skin and bones from hunger. He resolved to turn the entire village into a clan of tomb raiders, so no one in Jiang Village would ever have to wait to die because of poverty again.

He bound himself to an extra ability, Equivalent Exchange: sacrifice livestock in exchange for ancient tomb maps, spatial rings, and tomb-raiding equipment. That night, he used a blood formation in the ancestral hall to summon an uncanny vision. The villagers fell to their knees, and from then on they saw him as a divinely chosen clan leader who could communicate with their ancestors. His younger sister, Jiang Yurou, had leukemia and desperately needed life-saving money. He led nine villagers on the road to the Lu Palace, where they ran into Wu Tianzhen, Pangzi, Zhang Qiling, and the others, who were also heading for the Lu Palace.

The two groups of tomb raiders came face-to-face on a narrow path. Jiang Yaodong glanced at the other group's excellent equipment, then felt the crude bombs and black dog blood in his spatial ring. He said quietly to his people, "Don't panic. Let them do the robbing. We'll pick up whatever they miss."

Zhang Qiling looked back at him, his gaze shifting slightly.
