Journey to the West: Raised on Myth, the Monkey King Calls Me Junior Brother

After transmigrating, Li Changsheng became the ninth Earth God of Five Finger Mountain, with only thirty years left to live from the start. The previous eight had all been chewed up as snacks by the monkey beneath the mountain. On his first day, he was feeding the monkey, having just poured copper water and iron balls into a bucket, when Sun Wukong's fangs were already pressed against his earlobe.

At the brink of life and death, a System window popped up: Mythical Feeding Codex activated. Feed the monkey to earn rewards, and the first bite yielded the Great Art of the Heavenly Immortal! He shouted "Senior Brother!" as loud as he could. The monkey froze. That trace of Bodhi cultivation aura on him broke the Great Sage's composure. Sun Wukong promptly stuffed the Somersault Cloud into his head, then plucked out a hair and told him to go to Flower-Fruit Mountain and build a chain of Earth God temples. "My monkeys and grand-monkeys will be your gold mine of incense offerings." When the City God tried to make things difficult for him over a shortfall of a hundred thousand incense offerings, Li Changsheng used the Somersault Cloud and a Green Wave Spear technique to kill the Martial Judge in a counterattack, leaving every celestial official stunned.

Sun Wukong chewed on a roast chicken and sneered. "Tell that City God that next time, Old Sun will personally visit his temple for tea." Li Changsheng looked at his panel as his lifespan and cultivation soared, then silently circled a spot for a temple on Flower-Fruit Mountain. This was only the beginning.
