Journey to the West: The Emperor of Heaven Eavesdrops on My Thoughts Through the Ranting System

After transmigrating into the primordial world, Ye Xuan becomes a low-ranking heavenly soldier at the South Heaven Gate. Just as he's worrying about becoming cannon fodder, a Complaint System comes online. As long as he voices his complaints in his mind, he can get astonishing rewards. Right after he calls the Jade Emperor "a brainless idiot," the System gives him an innate foundation and one epoch's worth of cultivation, instantly raising him to the peak of the Taiyi Golden Immortal realm. The Jade Emperor heard him. Not only did he hear him, he was secretly laughing.

When Ye Xuan is ordered to capture Sun Wukong alive, the Jade Emperor changes the script on the spot. "No amnesty. Capture him directly!" The monkey is hauled back to the heavenly prison, and Ye Xuan is promoted to warden. Just as he's eating a nine-thousand-year-old Peaches of Immortality and breaking through to the Daluo Golden Immortal realm, Li Jing rushes in. "By imperial order, release the Stone Monkey!" Ye Xuan sneers. "Is that the Jade Emperor's order, or the Buddha's?" A twelve-petaled Pure World White Lotus blooms beneath his feet, and the heavenly prison's floor tiles crack one by one. Watching through the Haotian Mirror, the Jade Emperor can barely keep from laughing. "That boy is more and more to my liking."

A new System mission appears: face Li Jing head-on. Reward: one bottle of Three Lights Divine Water. Ye Xuan looks up with a smile. "Before we throw down, I suggest you think about how you'll explain this to the Buddha: why you know the Jade Emperor's orders better than the Jade Emperor himself."
