Kitchen Chronicles: The Great Chef Nan Yi

In 1963, Nan Yi, a descendant of imperial chefs, is sent down to clean toilets for speaking out of turn. A pig awarded to him changes his fate. From head chef in a factory canteen to owner of Nan's Restaurant, from youth to old age, Nan Yi tends the same iron wok and spends his whole life cooking. There is the deep affection he shares with Liang Ladi, the regret of crossing paths with Ding Qiunan, and half a lifetime of open and covert battles with Cui Dake... A three-foot stove holds every flavor of life, and a wisp of cooking smoke tells of all the vicissitudes of the world.
