Tower of Eternal Night: Everything I Wrote into the Setting Came True

Lu Ci, a third-rate writer, woke up one day to discover that the flop novel he'd written had become real.

Xiao Jin, the black-cloaked villain, crouched in front of him with a grin. "Boss, your seventeenth loop is stuck again. Want to start over this time?"

Lu Ci looked down at the battered fountain pen clenched in his hand. Its nib was writing by itself, in his handwriting, words he had never seen before:

The day Lu Ci woke up, the world began to collapse.

Only then did he realize: for every word he wrote, he lost three years of his life. Rewriting Shen Qingyi burned away a third of his ink; when he wrote that Xiao Jin's flames had gone out of control, the guy really was swallowed by fire the next second, losing half his life. Every person he saved made the tower grow one story taller. Every change to the plot caused another piece of reality to crumble.

And now there was a new pinned comment in the review section, with an ID consisting of a single word:

Tower: Continue.

Even worse, the final page of the abandoned manuscript he'd left to gather dust in a drawer read:

Lu Ci's ending: He wrote himself out of existence.

He thought he was writing a novel. In truth, the novel had been writing him all along.

This novel and its characters are entirely fictional. Any resemblance is purely coincidental. Do not imitate.
