Great Tang: With the Reversal System, I Just Made Him Crown Prince, and Now He Wants the Throne Back

Li Chengqian is made Crown Prince at the age of eight, and he should be delighted. Instead, a "Comeback System" appears in his mind, telling him that eighteen years later he'll rebel and be deposed, and that he must reclaim the throne now. But he was just made Crown Prince!

Even more absurdly, the side quest is to kill Li Tai and Li Zhi and bring their heads to Li Shimin. Li Chengqian is stunned: That's way too brutal!

Since the System can't be trusted, he'll handle things himself. At court, just after Li Shimin announces that he's making him Crown Prince, Li Chengqian blurts out, "I ask Your Majesty to depose the Crown Prince!" The whole court erupts. But he poses three questions, dissecting the Xuanwu Gate Incident through the lenses of human nature, morality, and self-preservation. The ministers are dumbfounded, and Li Shimin falls silent.

In the end, the Crown Prince really is deposed. But Li Chengqian smiles. The System said he'd have to be appointed again to reclaim the position, so he'll make Li Shimin beg to reinstate him. Deposed as Crown Prince today, restored tomorrow: that's a real comeback.

As for Li Tai? The little fatty is secretly celebrating, but Li Chengqian pats him on the shoulder. "Being Crown Prince can't save the Tang dynasty." Li Tai is utterly bewildered. This royal brother of his is playing by some truly wild rules!
