A Spirit Medium's True Account: My Family's Shrine Is Packed with a Bunch of Oddballs

My name is Lin Yuan. I'm a mechanic at a bus maintenance depot in Northeast China. I make 3,500 yuan a month and have been fixing buses for three years.

I thought this was all my life would ever amount to.

Then Third Master Hu showed up and said he wanted to establish a spirit hall for me.

The Hu family presides over the hall, the Huang family investigates, the Chang family heals, and the Mang family fights. There's also a crowd of ghost immortals from the Republican era, the Qingfeng and Yan Hun, plus a haughty, foul-mouthed black qilin...

Other people's spirit hall immortals get things done. The immortals in mine just cause trouble.

Huang Xiaotian steals food all day, Bai Liusi is slower than a sloth, and Zhao Laobei writes documents with a brush and asks me, “What's a computer?” The first time Zhang Laogui saw a phone, he thought it was a magic device for capturing souls.

Not one of them is any good at looking after themselves.

I only wanted to quietly take on small cases and make a little money, but I ended up crossing paths with a cult of rogue cultivators operating across provincial borders.

Somehow, I became the top dog in Northeast China's spirit-medium world.

And the most ridiculous part is... why do I have so many admirers in my fate?

Only later did I learn that I was a god sent down to the mortal realm to undergo tribulations.
