I Write Creepy Fiction, and Every Urban Legend I Write Comes True

Lin Chen is a struggling web novelist who has been flopping for four years.

Bored late one night, he casually wrote a little-known urban ghost story:

On the seventh floor of an abandoned apartment building south of the city, an empty chair appeared out of nowhere, with no one sitting in it.

That throwaway detail, which no one paid any attention to, began to warp reality.

The next day, every resident in the building looked up at the ceiling at the same time.

At three in the morning on the third day, everyone heard the muffled sound of furniture being dragged in unison.

On the fourth day, a special government agency came straight to his door.

Lin Chen finally uncovered the truth:

Every ghost story he wrote came true in Jiangcheng, without fail.

The strange phenomena kept piling up, the rules spiraled out of control, and the entire city gradually succumbed to mutations.

As he dug deeper into the mystery, a chilling truth came to light:

Before him, countless people had wielded the pen.

They possessed the terrifying power to rewrite reality, yet none met a good end. Every one of them died a gruesome death.

Having seen through the curse of fate, Lin Chen would never make the same mistake.

His words define the uncanny; every stroke can topple a city.

To survive, he would use the pen in his hand to fight back against an entire world of horrors gone out of control.
