Bleach: Gaara Arrives, and Sand Burial Begins from the Start

The night wind in Sunagakure fell still.

Gaara opened his eyes. Above him was not the starry sky, but unfamiliar steel and concrete.

Temari and Kankuro lay unconscious at his feet. In the distance, a monster wearing a white mask was tearing into a passerby.

The sand stirred.

Not because the wind blew, but by instinct.

Before the monster could react, it was buried in a ten-meter-deep pit of sand: Sand Burial. Compressed. Crushed.

"Where are we?" Temari asked as she woke.

Gaara didn't answer. He looked toward a distant rooftop: an orange-haired boy and a girl dressed in a Shihakusho.

Soul Society record: Unknown spiritual pressure entity, codename Sandfall, combat strength assessment: impossible to assess.

Aizen adjusted his glasses. "Interesting. Not a Soul Reaper, not a Hollow, and not a Quincy."

Gaara said just two words: "Let's go."

The three vanished into the night, leaving only a field of sand behind.

They called themselves the Lonely.

When a solitary soul descends upon the world of Bleach, Soul Society, Hueco Mundo, and the World of the Living will all remember that name.
