I Am Batman: Bringing Iron-Fisted Order to Gotham and Marvel

After transmigrating into Marvel, Wayne discovered that he had become Batman, but not in Gotham. He was in New York. Even more absurdly, a mental prison inside his mind held a Thomas Wayne from the Flashpoint universe, a Batman who killed without a second thought.

On his very first day, Spider-Man died.

Peter Parker's death flooded the news across the city. Wayne shut it off without a change in expression and headed straight for Hell's Kitchen. He needed money, gear, and somewhere to put down roots in this city. When he passed a memorial, he didn't even slow down.

Spider-Men from other universes started appearing one after another: one was middle-aged, paunchy, and out of shape; another hadn't even learned how to put his shoes on properly. They wanted him to join their team and demanded to know why he was so cold-blooded. Wayne didn't even turn around. "I'm just here to do a job."

When Kingpin's assassins surrounded Spider-Man's home and signs of parallel worlds collapsing began to emerge, Wayne finally stopped. He looked at the few Batarangs left in his hand, then at the noisy crowd of Spider-Men behind him.

"Stay out of my way."
