Luo Wei was duped by a cultivation System. Having read the original works, he knew this girl was standing at the edge of an abyss, while the beasts who had pushed her there were still living just fine.

Since Heaven and Earth wouldn't let him walk the righteous path, he might as well abandon it. Luo Wei got on a bus and headed straight for Tokyo's biggest slaughterhouse. The Spirit-Devouring Demon Art didn't necessarily have to consume people. He would start by devouring the souls of beasts and tempering his spiritual body. Once he reached the proper rank, those things wearing human skin would be the next batch of feed.
