American Comics: I'm Parker's Cousin, a Water-Type Mutant!

Jack Parker woke up to find the Bat-Signal hanging over New York. Something was off about this Marvel Universe: Wayne Industries had swallowed up Oscorp, the Joker was locked up in Arkham Asylum, and Spider-Woman Gwen Stacy was teaming up with Batman to take on Electro.

He was watching from a coffee shop by the street when an assassin from the Talons stabbed him through the heart and dumped him in the muddy puddle he'd fallen into while transmigrating. Dying twice in the same puddle within three days was humiliating enough to awaken his Mutant genes in a fit of rage: water manipulation, along with an elemental form. When he opened his eyes again, his wounds had healed in the rain.

Deadpool was crouching beside him, about to get handsy, when a soul sword thrust through a portal and impaled him. "Stop dawdling. Cable's waiting." Illyana dragged Deadpool away in a burst of blue light, giving Jack a glance before she left.

Jack was staring at his System screen, deep in thought. Defeat a character from the story to earn points. Not far away, a masked maniac from the Joker's gang was shooting up a shopping mall. Jack raised a hand and conjured a wall of water to stop the bullets. All right, he'd start grinding points with this bunch of scum.
