Hogwarts: I, Moaning Myrtle, Steal Power

After transmigrating into the Harry Potter world, Lin Xia starts out as the ghost Moaning Myrtle, trapped in the girls' bathroom, pelted with peanuts by Peeves, and unable even to turn on the tap. But she has an ancestral treasure with her: the Scales of Fate. Flip them once, and the weak can defeat the strong, forcibly rewriting a losing outcome.

She lures the basilisk out of the Chamber of Secrets, placing Moaning Myrtle, Peeves, and a rooster on the left side of the scales, and the basilisk on the right. The scales tip: the weaker side outweighs the basilisk by the tiniest margin. The giant serpent's soul shatters, and Lin Xia devours its authority, reincarnating from a ghost as a descendant of a wizarding noble family.

Ten years later, a Hogwarts acceptance letter arrives at the manor. While Draco is still fretting over which house he will be sorted into, she has already taken the ingredients in Ollivander's wand shop and stewed them into a pot of tonic dragon tendon soup. The Compass of Destiny reveals a prophecy: one of Voldemort's Horcruxes is hidden in the Room of Requirement. Lin Xia puts down her spoon. "That worm split his soul into seven pieces, too? Perfect. In my last life, I had to make a sacrifice to use the scales. This time, I'll just devour it."
