Marvel's The Boys: From the Start, Making Friends Lights Up the Hero Encyclopedia

After transmigrating into the world of The Boys, Li Wei becomes a second-tier superhero called Angel. His powers aren't all that impressive, but they're good enough for patrols and endorsements, until he awakens the Hero Encyclopedia System. The rules are simple: as long as someone admits to being his friend in person, he can copy any one of their abilities. It doesn't matter if they're sincere. A nod is all it takes.

He copies Blue Hawk's keen eyesight and Popclaw's energy injection. A few days later, he sets his sights on Queen Maeve of the Seven. Vought is still holding meetings about the publicity plan for Starlight joining the Seven, while Homelander is looking for his next opportunity to make a public appearance. No one notices the Guardian of New Jersey quietly growing stronger.

Li Wei glances over the entries lighting up on his System panel, then closes his notebook. "Vought has signed more than two hundred supes. How long would it take me to copy all their abilities? Let's start with a small goal: copy every ability from Homelander's teammates before he notices me."
