Pokemon: Scyther Livestream, Betting My Way to a Huge Win

Xia Tian was reborn with his memories intact. Three years ago, Pokemon were hunted down as monsters. He publicly revealed that he had transmigrated and started livestreaming lessons on Pokemon knowledge. Pikachu and Eevee won people over with their cuteness, and a Caterpie evolved right before everyone's eyes. But when he said, "Voltorb explodes because it got scared," the chat was instantly flooded with hecklers.

A firefighter who had been at the Xuanwu City Power Plant accident confronted him in person. Xia Tian calmly offered a solution using the Damp ability. After watching the livestream, the mayor and the director of the power bureau took a Poliwag out for a field test in the middle of the night. Before the livestream had even ended, millions of viewers were already placing bets and cheering over the battle for leadership among the Scyther. When a swarm of Beedrill attacked, Eevee transformed into a Flame God and swept the whole field. Even an Arbok stealing bird eggs was pinned to the ground by psychic power, unable to move.

Holding Eevee in his arms in the forest, Xia Tian watched the chat change from "Monsters deserve to die" to "Where can I catch a Pikachu?" Then he saw a friend request in his inbox bearing the name "Zhao Ruinian of Xuanwu City." He knew he had played his cards right, but his opponent was the Central Council, which controlled the armed forces of five cities, and he still hadn't revealed a single trump card of his own.
