Bright Sword: Revolutionary Military Tech, Handcrafting Heavy Artillery to Blast the Japanese

Synopsis: Li Muzhi, a military engineering expert from the future, opens his eyes in the world of Bright Sword and becomes the new director of a border-region arsenal. The factory has no machines, no raw materials, and barely a penny to its name. Zhang Wanhe wants a thousand bullets by the end of the month? Li Muzhi tears up the order. "Forget it. We're making cannons instead."

The workers are dumbfounded. They can barely make bullets, and he wants to build cannons? Li Muzhi hefts a large-caliber steel pipe and combines sugar with fertilizer to make powerful explosives. In three days, he puts together a "Hell Cannon." During a test at Sunjiabao, one shot demolishes three blockhouses, and the puppet troops surrender on the spot. When the Japanese reinforcements charge in, he loads the second shell with iron pellets and nails. One blast kills over a hundred Japanese soldiers, wiping out half a company in an instant.

Li Yunlong's eyes turn red, and he snatches the cannon on the spot. The brigade commander takes it to the Xikou depot. Two shots blow open the gates, and they haul back enough grain to feed the entire brigade for over a month, along with a batch of munitions equipment. Zhang Wanhe is furious, while the headquarters special envoy's hands tremble after reading the report. "The border-region arsenal can really build cannons now?"

Li Muzhi wipes off his welding torch and pulls out a set of blueprints. The next model: a mortar.
