I Begin Slaying Gods After Being Sacrificed

Lin Yang always thought he was lucky. While other children had to train hard from an early age, he could coast through life in the sect, eating his fill and doing nothing, until the day of the sacrifice ceremony.

Nailed to the altar, he felt his consciousness fading when the forbidden blood within him awakened. The bloodline left behind by the God-Slaying Emperor ten thousand years ago could grant him the power to strike back, but only at the price of devouring gods. That night, he smashed the altar where people had knelt for a thousand years.

But that was only the beginning. The sacrificial covenant was nothing but a ploy by the gods to enslave humanity. He had never been lucky; he was merely a sacrifice raised for slaughter.

So he began hunting gods. Devouring them gave him power, but also gnawed away at his humanity, little by little. The God Hunters came looking for him, the heroine, a reincarnated ancient god, stood by his side, and the rebels of the Godforsaken Land raised their banners.

After killing six true gods and one ancient god, Lin Yang stood atop the ruins and faced the awakening Human Emperor. He spoke his vow:

"I am no longer a sacrifice. I am the nightmare of every god."

This isn’t a story about becoming a god. It’s a story about making humanity no longer need gods.
