The Imperial Consort Jing Physician

Su Qingyan, a modern emergency surgeon, wakes after surgery in the body of Shen Ningwei, a mistreated daughter of the prime minister's household in the Great Jing dynasty. The moment she opens her eyes, her legitimate younger sister tries to force her to drink an abortion potion. Su Qingyan survives thanks to her emergency medical skills and uncovers the original owner's hidden past. To protect herself, she opens Ningwei Clinic using the herbal remedies recorded in her mother's handbook. She saves a general's son with improved suturing techniques and clears up the mystery surrounding the Imperial Consort's miscarriage through acupuncture, challenging the notion that female doctors are beneath respect and winning fame throughout the capital.

But she is soon drawn into a web of political intrigue: the Crown Prince sees her as a pawn, while Prince Jing'an Xiao Jue is entangled with her because of his cold poison. Their growing intimacy begins when she draws blood for him in a secret chamber, then deepens when she feeds him her blood in a military tent and they pledge their lives to one another. The cold poison binds them together, and they go from allies to deeply in love. The mysterious cult leader Murong Jin arrives with half a jade pendant, seeking to repay an old debt to her mother. Her gentle childhood friend Wen Jingran turns against her over their opposing loyalties, while her stepmother, Madam Liu, conceals a plot involving witchcraft and curses.

Shen Ningwei wields her medical skills like a blade, breaking through household rivalries, resolving disputes over military power, and putting down palace upheavals. From a daughter at the mercy of others, she transforms into a pillar of the medical world who can influence the court. In the end, she takes the hand of Prince Jing, who is willing to abandon political ambition to protect her, and they face the future together.
