Siheyuan: A Martyr's Kin from the Start, Taking on the Whole Courtyard

Yang Zhe opens his eyes and finds himself in the world of The Courtyard of Poultry.

No System, no golden finger, not even a pocket dimension.

But he has an identity no one dares challenge: the child of martyrs.

His grandfather was in the Red Army, his parents were in the Eighth Route Army, and both his older brothers died as martyrs. This protection is stronger than any golden finger.

The people in this courtyard are all rotten to the core. Yi Zhonghai covets his three large rooms, Qin Huairu comes around every few days to mooch off him, Silly Zhu throws his weight around to stand up for Sister Qin, and Jia Zhangshi is both vicious and greedy.

Do the rules say he has to take a beating before fighting back?

His specialty is striking first.

Silly Zhu steals a chicken? He bangs a gong and shouts across the courtyard, "Silly Zhu is a thief!" Yi Zhonghai won't let him lock his door? He signs an agreement: if anything goes missing, Yi Zhonghai pays ten times its value. Then he sets up a scheme to make Banggeng steal a chicken, forcing Yi Zhonghai to pay for twenty. Jia Zhangshi throws a tantrum? He plays the suona and makes her the star of a monkey show.

Don't talk to Yang Zhe about harmonious neighbors or a civilized courtyard.

Anyone who makes his life miserable will be publicly humiliated in front of the whole courtyard.

No golden finger? He himself is the biggest golden finger in the whole courtyard.
